Copper Grades

C101 Copper (Oxygen-Free Electronic - OFE Copper)

Composition

  • 99.99% pure copper

Key Properties

  • Extremely high electrical and thermal conductivity
  • Oxygen-free (≤ 0.0005% oxygen content), making it highly resistant to hydrogen embrittlement
  • Excellent corrosion resistance
  • Superior ductility and workability

C102 Copper (Oxygen-Free Copper - OFC Copper)

Composition

  • 99.95% pure copper

Key Properties:

  • Oxygen-free (≤ 0.001% oxygen content) for improved conductivity
  • Slightly lower purity than C101 but still highly conductive
  • Excellent corrosion resistance & formability
  • Good weldability and brazing characteristics

C110 Copper (Electrolytic Tough Pitch - ETP Copper)

Composition:

  • 99.90% pure copper
  • Contains 0.02 - 0.04% oxygen

Key Properties:

  • High Electrical Conductivity – Typically around 101% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard)
  • Excellent Thermal Conductivity – Ideal for heat transfer applications
  • Good Corrosion Resistance – Resists oxidation and corrosion in most environments
  • Ductile & Formable – Easy to fabricate, bend, and weld
  • Not Oxygen-Free – Oxygen content makes it less suitable for applications in a hydrogen-rich environment (risk of hydrogen embrittlement)
